Smart Geothermal Office Campus Retrofit
The Indie Energy Smart Geothermal™ hybrid retrofit of the multi-building headquarters campus of the Local 150 of the International Union of Operating Engineers ("Local 150"), one of the largest local unions in the U.S., is a large-scale, transformational demonstration of commercial geothermal heating and cooling. Using Indie Energy’s Smart Geothermal™ technologies, the project demonstrates several key innovations in retrofitting buildings to become more energy efficient, and providing return on investment for stakeholders. The project is the host site of Indie Energy's 2009 U.S. Department of Energy award for transformational technology deployment in geothermal heating and cooling.
